An Epitaph for Caesar by Kevin Foley
Roses of dawn sick with lament
Hung their heads and silently wept
For on the ides Venus would say
“Thy heart lies there in Caesars grave”
And so a tyrant was said to die
And tears like rain filled every eye
While brutish men found honor in blood
The people wept for the one they loved
Forever after men would say
A true Roman fell here today

"brutish men" - nice play on words
Very powerful, Kevin.
